# Subscription Errors

## Request Errors

The response will contain either a Subscription object or an Error object.

### `INVALID_REQUEST`

The request body failed basic validation for the specific API endpoint.

### `NOT_FOUND`

The requested resource does not exist.

### `PRODUCT_CAPABILITY_RESTRICTED`

The status of the Product that this Subscription is associated with is restricted to this Entity or Account.

### `PRODUCT_UNAVAILABLE`

The status of the Product that this Subscription is associated with is unavailable to this Entity or Account.

### `SUBSCRIPTION_DUPLICATE`

There was an attempt to enroll in an already active Subscription

### `SUBSCRIPTION_INVALID_PAYLOAD_ATTRIBUTES`

The subscription payload contains restricted or unsupported attributes.

### `SUBSCRIPTION_NOT_FOUND`

The requested Subscription is not available for this resource. Unrecognized subscription names are usually rejected by request validation with a generic `INVALID_REQUEST` error before reaching this check.

### `SUBSCRIPTION_OPAL_REQUIRED`

This Subscription can only be created through Opal. `transaction` enrollment requires the user to grant consent through Opal unless API enrollment is enabled for your team.

### `SUBSCRIPTION_RESTRICTED_ACCOUNT_ALREADY_ENROLLED`

The Account is already enrolled in a related Subscription. For example, an Account can have either an `update` or an `update.snapshot` subscription, not both.

### `SUBSCRIPTION_RESTRICTED_MISSING_PRODUCT_REQUEST`

The Account must have a completed request for the related Product before it can be enrolled. See [Enrollment requirements](/2026-03-30/reference/accounts/subscriptions/overview#enrollment-requirements).

### `PRODUCT_UNAVAILABLE_ACCOUNT_NOT_ACTIVE`

The Account is not active, so this Subscription cannot be enrolled.

### `PRODUCT_VERIFICATION_MISSING`

The Account must be verified before it can be enrolled in this Subscription.

### `TEAM_RESTRICTED_MISSING_PRODUCT_CONFIGURATION`

Your team is missing configuration for the related Product. Reach out to the Method team to learn more.

### `TEAM_CAPABILITY_RESTRICTED`

Your organization does not have access to this Subscription.
